Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 1.26% or 1.03 points to trade at 83.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Sofina (BR:SOF) added 0.41% or 0.60 points to end at 148.20 and Ageas (BR:AGES) was up 0.41% or 0.180 points to 44.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which fell 1.20% or 1.040 points to trade at 85.920 at the close. bpost NV (BR:BPOST) declined 1.02% or 0.15 points to end at 14.52 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was down 0.97% or 0.22 points to 22.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sofina (BR:SOF) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.41% or 0.60 to 148.20. Shares in bpost NV (BR:BPOST) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.02% or 0.15 to 14.52. Shares in Proximus NV (BR:PROX) fell to 3-years lows; losing 0.97% or 0.22 to 22.46.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.15% or 2.00 to $1301.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.51% or 0.34 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1784, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.56.
