Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 1.97% or 12.40 points to trade at 641.40 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB SA (EBR:UCB) added 1.73% or 3.30 points to end at 194.50 and Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR:GBLB) was up 1.36% or 0.90 points to 67.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 5.63% or 4.15 points to trade at 69.55 at the close. Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS) declined 2.58% or 1.50 points to end at 56.65 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) was down 1.74% or 0.95 points to 53.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 35 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.74% or 19.84 to $2,685.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.08% or 0.80 to hit $73.45 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.08% or 0.83 to trade at $76.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 108.90.
