Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 1.62% or 0.59 points to trade at 36.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) added 1.42% or 6.70 points to end at 480.00 and Ageas (EBR:AGES) was up 0.86% or 0.42 points to 49.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sofina (EBR:SOF), which fell 1.81% or 4.40 points to trade at 238.40 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) declined 1.17% or 0.75 points to end at 63.15 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 1.13% or 0.30 points to 26.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 57 to 36 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ageas (EBR:AGES) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.86% or 0.42 to 49.12.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.68% or 17.90 to $2,643.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.19% or 2.34 to hit $75.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.20% or 2.45 to trade at $79.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.71.
