Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Banking and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ageas (EBR:AGES), which rose 1.89% or 0.88 points to trade at 47.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 1.49% or 0.40 points to end at 27.22 and KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) was up 1.09% or 0.74 points to 68.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB), which fell 2.66% or 5.40 points to trade at 197.80 at the close. Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) declined 2.63% or 0.28 points to end at 10.35 and Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS) was down 1.87% or 1.45 points to 75.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 48 to 42 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 2.90 to $2,607.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.62% or 1.10 to hit $68.85 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.41% or 1.01 to trade at $72.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 100.43.
