Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (BR:SOLB), which rose 0.73% or 0.85 points to trade at 116.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (BR:UMI) added 0.52% or 0.25 points to end at 48.60 and Sofina (BR:SOF) was up 0.46% or 0.80 points to 173.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 0.95% or 0.114 points to trade at 11.916 at the close. Proximus NV (BR:PROX) declined 0.83% or 0.17 points to end at 20.43 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 0.75% or 0.30 points to 39.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 62 to 50 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sofina (BR:SOF) rose to all time highs; rising 0.46% or 0.80 to 173.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.80 to $1214.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.45% or 0.31 to hit $68.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $76.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1717, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 94.46.
