Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.64%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 4.59% or 2.90 points to trade at 66.10 at the close. Meanwhile, bpost NV (BR:BPOST) added 3.00% or 0.39 points to end at 13.40 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was up 2.90% or 2.460 points to 87.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 0.30% or 0.032 points to trade at 10.830 at the close. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) added 0.68% or 0.08 points to end at 11.83 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 1.26% or 0.22 points to 17.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 79 to 28 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.13% or 1.60 to $1231.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.27 to trade at $81.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1587, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.69.
