Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 2.34% or 1.88 points to trade at 81.98 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 2.24% or 0.284 points to end at 12.946 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 2.16% or 0.48 points to 22.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sofina (BR:SOF), which fell 0.40% or 0.60 points to trade at 147.60 at the close. Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) declined 0.24% or 0.11 points to end at 45.37 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was up 0.09% or 0.10 points to 107.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 68 to 46 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.15% or 2.00 to $1304.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.65% or 0.43 to hit $66.17 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $76.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1791, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.55.
