Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 12.69% or 10.90 points to trade at 96.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Aperam SA (AS:APAM) added 6.87% or 1.71 points to end at 26.60 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 3.55% or 0.66 points to 19.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Proximus NV (BR:PROX), which fell 3.19% or 0.78 points to trade at 23.66 at the close. Telenet Group Holding NV (BR:TNET) declined 1.19% or 0.52 points to end at 43.30 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was down 0.96% or 0.65 points to 66.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 78 to 43 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Argen-X (BR:ARGX) rose to all time highs; rising 12.69% or 10.90 to 96.80.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.11% or 13.60 to $1239.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.98% or 1.52 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.62% or 1.56 to trade at $61.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1359, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 96.825.
