Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 5.52% or 4.40 points to trade at 84.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (BR:UMI) added 3.13% or 1.32 points to end at 43.49 and Telenet Group Holding NV (BR:TNET) was up 2.64% or 1.18 points to 45.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB (BR:UCB), which fell 1.75% or 1.30 points to trade at 72.84 at the close. Proximus NV (BR:PROX) declined 1.39% or 0.32 points to end at 22.63 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was down 0.52% or 0.35 points to 66.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 85 to 30 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.20 to $1232.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.74% or 0.47 to hit $63.22 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.12 to trade at $72.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1379, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8779.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 96.37.
