Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.74% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC (BR:KBC), which rose 2.87% or 1.720 points to trade at 61.620 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 2.52% or 0.340 points to end at 13.820 and Ageas (BR:AGES) was up 1.85% or 0.700 points to 38.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB), which fell 1.29% or 1.40 points to trade at 107.20 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) declined 0.89% or 0.90 points to end at 100.20 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was down 0.57% or 0.12 points to 19.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 70 to 43 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold for February delivery was up 0.86% or 9.95 to $1161.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.53% or 1.36 to hit $52.36 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.36% or 1.34 to trade at $55.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.0413, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8498.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.78% at 103.17.
