Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 1.83% or 7.40 points to trade at 410.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Sofina (EBR:SOF) added 1.68% or 3.60 points to end at 217.60 and Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) was up 1.52% or 0.51 points to 34.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 1.37% or 1.20 points to trade at 86.45 at the close. Proximus NV (EBR:PROX) declined 1.19% or 0.09 points to end at 7.47 and Ageas (EBR:AGES) was down 0.70% or 0.30 points to 42.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 38 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elia (EBR:ELI) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.37% or 1.20 to 86.45.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.26% or 6.10 to $2,332.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.23% or 0.19 to hit $83.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $86.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.51.
