Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 2.33% or 11.30 points to trade at 497.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) added 2.29% or 0.85 points to end at 38.00 and Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS) was up 1.27% or 0.90 points to 71.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:UMI), which fell 2.34% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.86 at the close. Proximus NV (EBR:PROX) declined 1.28% or 0.09 points to end at 6.57 and Elia (EBR:ELI) was down 0.98% or 0.95 points to 95.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 43 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) rose to all time highs; up 2.29% or 0.85 to 38.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.51% or 13.60 to $2,662.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.51% or 1.90 to hit $73.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.35% or 1.86 to trade at $77.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 103.03.
