Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB), which rose 2.43% or 3.90 points to trade at 164.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) added 1.55% or 9.20 points to end at 604.60 and Aedifica (EBR:AOO) was up 1.35% or 0.75 points to 56.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:UCB), which fell 1.17% or 2.25 points to trade at 189.40 at the close. Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) declined 0.69% or 0.07 points to end at 10.10 and Elia (EBR:ELI) was down 0.07% or 0.05 points to 73.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.50% or 13.11 to $2,648.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $69.96 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $73.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 107.87.
