Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Proximus NV (EBR:PROX), which rose 5.51% or 0.35 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) added 2.11% or 0.23 points to end at 11.11 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) was up 1.44% or 7.40 points to 521.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI), which fell 0.53% or 0.32 points to trade at 59.54 at the close. Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR:GBLB) declined 0.51% or 0.35 points to end at 67.90 and Sofina (EBR:SOF) was down 0.43% or 1.00 points to 229.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 43 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.07% or 1.90 to $2,750.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.92% or 1.35 to hit $71.54 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.88% or 1.40 to trade at $75.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.07.
