Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 5.14% or 0.31 points to trade at 6.30 at the close. Meanwhile, DIeteren SA (BR:IETB) added 3.73% or 1.365 points to end at 37.995 and Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) was up 2.78% or 2.90 points to 107.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Proximus NV (BR:PROX), which fell 1.71% or 0.53 points to trade at 30.16 at the close. Delhaize Group (BR:DELB) declined 1.41% or 1.33 points to end at 93.14 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was down 0.93% or 0.81 points to 86.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 84 to 61 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in DIeteren SA (BR:IETB) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.73% or 1.365 to 37.995.
Gold for April delivery was down 1.08% or 13.60 to $1251.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $40.20 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.37 to trade at $41.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1271, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.7777.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.05.
