Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.38% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 3.18% or 19.40 points to trade at 629.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) added 1.75% or 0.32 points to end at 18.56 and Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:ACKB) was up 0.87% or 1.70 points to 197.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which fell 2.64% or 0.82 points to trade at 30.30 at the close. D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) declined 2.50% or 4.00 points to end at 156.20 and Elia (EBR:ELI) was down 1.60% or 1.20 points to 73.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 49 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.73% or 19.29 to $2,666.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.83% or 0.61 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.80% or 0.61 to trade at $76.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 108.26.
