Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR), which rose 2.96% or 1.26 points to trade at 43.97 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB (BR:UCB) added 1.90% or 1.20 points to end at 64.44 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 0.99% or 0.28 points to 27.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which fell 0.51% or 0.75 points to trade at 145.30 at the close. Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) declined 0.46% or 0.55 points to end at 117.80 and KBC (BR:KBC) was down 0.28% or 0.190 points to 68.560.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 1.80 to $1296.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.01 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.11 to trade at $63.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8976.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.05.
