Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 1.29% or 1.000 points to trade at 78.270 at the close. Meanwhile, Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) added 1.27% or 1.80 points to end at 143.00 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was up 1.11% or 0.49 points to 44.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Proximus NV (BR:PROX), which fell 0.68% or 0.20 points to trade at 29.42 at the close. UCB (BR:UCB) declined 0.52% or 0.30 points to end at 57.59 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was down 0.46% or 0.50 points to 107.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 to 46 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.57% or 7.51 to $1329.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.11 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.20 to trade at $52.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1885, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.9163.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 92.64.
