Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 3.30% or 1.20 points to trade at 37.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) added 2.39% or 0.27 points to end at 11.58 and KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) was up 1.45% or 1.00 points to 69.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which fell 3.77% or 18.80 points to trade at 480.50 at the close. Elia (EBR:ELI) declined 2.94% or 2.90 points to end at 95.60 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) was down 1.29% or 0.85 points to 64.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 to 32 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) rose to all time highs; rising 3.30% or 1.20 to 37.51.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 7.20 to $2,672.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.63% or 1.20 to hit $74.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.42% or 1.10 to trade at $78.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 102.38.
