Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 1.80% or 0.210 points to trade at 11.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) added 0.84% or 0.17 points to end at 20.94 and KBC (BR:KBC) was up 0.79% or 0.420 points to 53.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ageas (BR:AGES), which fell 1.06% or 0.355 points to trade at 33.075 at the close. Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) declined 0.77% or 0.90 points to end at 116.50 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was down 0.47% or 0.12 points to 24.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 72 to 70 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.55 to $1267.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.87% or 0.97 to hit $50.85 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.13% or 1.12 to trade at $51.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.0934, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8920.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 98.25.
