Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were UCB (BR:UCB), which rose 2.37% or 1.58 points to trade at 68.20 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC (BR:KBC) added 2.01% or 1.520 points to end at 77.000 and Ageas (BR:AGES) was up 1.47% or 0.620 points to 42.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which fell 2.68% or 0.66 points to trade at 23.94 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 2.42% or 2.200 points to end at 88.880 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was down 1.46% or 0.39 points to 26.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 57 to 50 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.23% or 16.40 to $1316.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.50% or 0.96 to hit $62.95 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.20% or 0.81 to trade at $66.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.2232, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8793.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 90.31.
