Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Elia (EBR:ELI), which rose 3.46% or 3.25 points to trade at 97.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) added 1.52% or 1.04 points to end at 69.43 and Proximus NV (EBR:PROX) was up 1.33% or 0.09 points to 6.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI), which fell 0.62% or 0.34 points to trade at 54.86 at the close. Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) declined 0.53% or 2.60 points to end at 485.90 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 0.32% or 0.08 points to 24.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 52 to 38 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 4.80 to $2,508.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.11% or 1.69 to hit $78.37 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.96% or 1.61 to trade at $80.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 102.69.
