Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Umicore SA (EBR:UMI), which rose 3.20% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.17 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB SA (EBR:UCB) added 2.71% or 5.05 points to end at 191.65 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) was up 2.25% or 1.20 points to 54.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which fell 1.52% or 9.20 points to trade at 595.40 at the close. Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) declined 1.26% or 0.24 points to end at 18.80 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) was down 1.05% or 1.70 points to 160.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 36 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in UCB SA (EBR:UCB) rose to all time highs; rising 2.71% or 5.05 to 191.65. Shares in Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.26% or 0.24 to 18.80.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.49% or 13.06 to $2,632.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.08% or 0.75 to hit $68.71 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.78 to trade at $71.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 107.82.
