Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC (BR:KBC), which rose 2.79% or 1.460 points to trade at 53.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) added 2.76% or 3.40 points to end at 126.75 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 1.61% or 0.190 points to 11.980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI), which fell 1.92% or 2.25 points to trade at 114.75 at the close. UCB (BR:UCB) declined 1.69% or 1.13 points to end at 65.89 and Elia (BR:ELI) was down 1.21% or 0.555 points to 45.185.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 85 to 61 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.38% or 4.85 to $1262.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.99% or 1.01 to hit $49.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.07% or 1.07 to trade at $50.71 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0884, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8924.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.75.
