Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Banking and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 3.23% or 1.03 points to trade at 32.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) added 1.93% or 1.64 points to end at 86.54 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) was up 1.28% or 0.32 points to 25.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 1.60% or 1.45 points to trade at 88.90 at the close. Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS) declined 1.36% or 1.10 points to end at 79.60 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) was down 0.79% or 3.30 points to 416.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 45 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.09% or 25.25 to $2,338.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.61% or 0.49 to hit $81.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.51% or 0.43 to trade at $84.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 105.54.
