Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI), which rose 1.48% or 0.88 points to trade at 60.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Aedifica (EBR:AOO) added 1.20% or 0.75 points to end at 63.35 and Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) was up 1.13% or 0.43 points to 38.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS), which fell 2.97% or 2.25 points to trade at 73.44 at the close. Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) declined 2.30% or 0.25 points to end at 10.61 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 1.78% or 0.46 points to 25.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 47 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) rose to all time highs; rising 1.13% or 0.43 to 38.43.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.62% or 16.60 to $2,682.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 5.23% or 3.86 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 5.03% or 3.90 to trade at $73.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.97.
