Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which rose 2.34% or 1.14 points to trade at 49.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (BR:UMI) added 0.91% or 0.42 points to end at 46.76 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was up 0.73% or 0.55 points to 76.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which fell 2.44% or 2.550 points to trade at 102.000 at the close. Sofina (BR:SOF) declined 2.09% or 3.60 points to end at 169.00 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 0.74% or 0.28 points to 37.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 52 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.20 to $1207.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.27% or 1.60 to hit $68.77 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.69% or 1.35 to trade at $78.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1674, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.63.
