Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 5.70% or 3.40 points to trade at 63.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenet Group (BR:TNET) added 2.27% or 1.00 points to end at 45.00 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 2.14% or 0.36 points to 17.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aperam SA (AS:APAM), which fell 1.54% or 0.57 points to trade at 36.40 at the close. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) declined 1.52% or 0.18 points to end at 11.68 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was down 0.87% or 0.19 points to 21.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 to 52 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.52% or 0.18 to 11.68.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.40 to $1222.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.54 to trade at $79.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1562, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 94.90.
