Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP), which rose 1.19% or 0.22 points to trade at 18.67 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) added 1.19% or 0.86 points to end at 72.96 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) was up 1.05% or 6.80 points to 653.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 1.84% or 1.15 points to trade at 61.30 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) declined 1.43% or 0.75 points to end at 51.80 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE) was down 1.22% or 0.23 points to 18.56.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 55 to 45 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elia (EBR:ELI) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.84% or 1.15 to 61.30. Shares in Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) fell to all time lows; losing 1.43% or 0.75 to 51.80. Shares in Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.05% or 6.80 to 653.60.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.20% or 5.46 to $2,684.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.91% or 0.70 to hit $76.60 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.74 to trade at $80.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.42% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 109.22.
