Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which rose 1.15% or 0.34 points to trade at 29.84 at the close. Meanwhile, bpost NV (BR:BPOST) added 1.11% or 0.27 points to end at 24.22 and KBC (BR:KBC) was up 0.96% or 0.680 points to 71.830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Solvay SA (BR:SOLB), which fell 1.03% or 1.30 points to trade at 124.90 at the close. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) declined 0.52% or 0.07 points to end at 14.40 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was down 0.35% or 0.055 points to 15.715.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 47 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.65% or 8.34 to $1293.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.88% or 1.43 to hit $51.01 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.90% or 1.06 to trade at $56.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1801, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8932.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 93.08.
