Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 5.51% or 2.18 points to trade at 41.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 2.36% or 0.77 points to end at 33.40 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.70% or 0.58 points to 34.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 1.64% or 0.64 points to trade at 38.31 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.55% or 0.40 points to end at 25.36 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was down 1.10% or 0.40 points to 36.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.51% or 2.18 to 41.75. Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; rising 1.70% or 0.58 to 34.73.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 3.68% or 1.54 to $43.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.97% or 1.57 to hit $41.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 8.40 to trade at $1364.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1148, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8373.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 95.51.
