Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 3.49% or 1.24 points to trade at 36.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.50% or 0.40 points to end at 27.08 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.91% or 0.28 points to 31.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.26% or 0.2000 points to trade at 8.6400 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.58% or 0.105 points to end at 6.545 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.38% or 0.070 points to 5.020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 53 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.92% or 1.07 to $56.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.90% or 1.44 to hit $51.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.42 to trade at $1293.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1801, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8933.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 93.08.
