Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.42% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 9.68% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 8.11% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.0800 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was up 7.50% or 0.01 points to 0.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 4.76% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 1.58% or 3.25 points to end at 202.35 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 1.32% or 0.005 points to 0.374.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.24% or 1.07 to $46.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 17.55 to trade at $1315.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2336, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8731.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.17.
