Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 3.77% or 0.515 points to trade at 14.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Aperam (AS:APAM) added 3.18% or 1.42 points to end at 46.03 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 2.23% or 0.67 points to 30.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sofina (BR:SOF), which fell 0.69% or 0.90 points to trade at 128.60 at the close. Proximus NV (BR:PROX) declined 0.60% or 0.17 points to end at 29.02 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was down 0.59% or 0.65 points to 109.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 67 to 43 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.82% or 10.60 to $1283.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.64% or 0.86 to hit $51.55 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.75% or 0.96 to trade at $53.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.0713, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.69.
