Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 2.30% or 2.86 points to trade at 127.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.07% or 5.70 points to end at 281.50 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 2.04% or 4.10 points to 205.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which fell 2.44% or 0.89 points to trade at 35.59 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.73% or 4.9 points to end at 277.8 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.73% or 4.0 points to 547.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 348 to 339 and 77 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.09% or 0.56 to $51.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.94% or 0.51 to hit $54.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1252.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.5953, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 9.0105.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.58.
