Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.02% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which rose 1.25% or 1.30 points to trade at 105.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenet Group (BR:TNET) added 1.16% or 0.48 points to end at 41.76 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was up 0.57% or 0.13 points to 23.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which fell 1.74% or 0.177 points to trade at 9.968 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) declined 0.91% or 0.410 points to end at 44.860 and Umicore NV (BR:UMI) was down 0.44% or 0.22 points to 50.19.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 99 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.65 to $1328.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.49% or 1.10 to hit $43.09 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.19% or 1.01 to trade at $45.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0983, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8361.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 97.38.
