Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 4.07% or 0.98 points to trade at 25.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.09% or 0.055 points to end at 5.115 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.70% or 0.030 points to 4.286 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.39% or 0.048 points to trade at 3.396 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.03% or 0.0380 points to end at 3.6500 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 0.69% or 0.24 points to 34.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 63 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.72% or 0.36 to $50.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.29 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1138, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.7609.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
