Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which rose 8.70% or 0.400 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Minsur (LM:MINi) added 5.56% or 0.030 points to end at 0.570 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 3.85% or 0.005 points to 0.135 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 4.76% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.220 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 3.85% or 1.05 points to end at 26.20 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 1.10% or 0.050 points to 4.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 7 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to all time lows; losing 4.76% or 0.011 to 0.220. Shares in Buenaventura (LM:BVN) fell to all time lows; down 1.10% or 0.050 to 4.500.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $41.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.69% or 0.31 to hit $44.97 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.70% or 7.50 to trade at $1068.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.35% to 3.3659, while EUR/PEN fell 0.13% to 3.5771.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 99.81.
