Employees at Amazon's (NASDAQ:AMZN) warehouse in Coventry, UK, will take further industrial action, striking for another seven days as the pay issue intensifies.

Last month, workers at the warehouse became the first in the UK to take strike action against the e-commerce giant.

More than 350 staff at the warehouse will now take further action on February 28, March 2 and March 13 to 17, with trade union GMB calling for a pay rise from £10.50 to £15 an hour. However, the union is not recognized by Amazon.

"This unprecedented week-long strike shows the anger among Amazon workers in Coventry," said Amanda Gearing, GMB Senior Organizer. "They work for one of the richest companies in the world, yet they have to work round the clock to keep themselves afloat."

Gearing added that Amazon bosses can stop the industrial action by "doing the right thing and negotiating a proper pay rise with workers."
