After-Hours Stock Movers:
NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:NXPI) fell 7% after it issued lackluster second quarter results and disappointing guidance for the third quarter. Management called the quarter a cyclical trough in its businesses and expects to resume sequential growth
Cleveland-Cliffs (NYSE:CLF) rose 3% after it published second quarter earnings that were better than expected. Despite a less than ideal steel demand and weak pricing throughout the quarter, Cliffs operated very well, its CEO said.
Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ:CDNS) fell 1% despite solid second quarter results, after it issued mixed guidance.
Nucor (NYSE:NUE) rose 4% after second quarter results beat on the top and bottom line.
Zions Bancorp (ZION) climbed 4% after EPS topped consensus views, with continued improvement in net interest margin.
Crown Holdings (NYSE:CCK) rose 6% after full year EPS guidance topped estimates. Free cash flow for the year is now expected to be at least $750 million.
Solventum Corporation (SOLV) rose 4% after Bloomberg reported activist investor Nelson Pelz's Trian built a large stake in the company.
