Investing.com - President-elect Donald Trump, speaking at a rally in Orlando, Fla., this evening mocked his former opponent's supporters for "complaining" incessantly during the five weeks since the election, ceaslessly seeking a new rationale every week for why Hillary Cllinton lost the race on Nov. 8.
The first charge by her supporters was that the FBI's investigation of corruption allegations against Mrs. Clinton and former President Bill Clinton sabotaged her campaign by raising questions about her integrity. Then the Clinton backers changed their minds, and said that racism and sexism were the reasons she lost the vote in middle America. Lately, the supporters have stated that the Russians hacked Clinton's e-mails and released them through WikiLeaks to the media and the public, showing the dirty inside dealings of her campaign, and humiliating her and her team. Last night, Mrs. Clinton told wealthy donors in New York City that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had a "personal grudge" against her, motivating the hackers to attack her.
Today, even President Obama joined the fray, stating from The White House press room that he had tried to warn Putin that there would be dire consequences if "his" hackers did not stop attacks on the private e-mail account of John Podesta, a Clinton confidant, and the Democratic Party.
Obama admitted, however, that at no time did the hackers ever penetrate government computers during the election season.
"The other side is complaining, oh geeze," said Trump Friday night, as reported by Investing.com. "Maybe the other side should now be trying to figure out how to get some of the 'deplorables' back to their side."
The President-elect said the only point of all the complaining was to "torment" him, his family, and his voters.
"We won easily. The media said there was no path to 270 electoral college votes. We had 306," said Trump. "I went to Maine four times to get the one electoral vote there. And on election night, we watched the media and the media was dishonest, even with exit polls. What are they doing other than tormenting us with that? It's called suppressing the vote."
Trump also gave a quick preview of an emerging aspect of his forthcoming industrial policy, telling the crowd that "space exploration and medical research and the next generation of innovation and production will happen here in Florida."
