(Reuters) - Highlights of the day for U.S. President Donald Trump's administration on Wednesday:

ISLAMIC STATE

Foreign ministers from 68 countries are gathering in Washington to agree on the next steps to defeat Islamic State, the first such meeting of the U.S-led military coalition since Trump's election in November.

HEALTHCARE

House Republicans face the wrath of a vengeful president if they vote against the bill to take down Obamacare but if they vote for it, they risk retribution from the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch and other right-wing donors who can be pivotal in next year's re-election races.

SUPREME COURT

Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, after two smooth days at his confirmation hearing, will cruise into Wednesday's session with any questions about his prospects likely shifting from the Judiciary Committee to the full Senate.

CABINET

R. Alexander Acosta, Trump's second choice to head the Labor Department, goes before a Senate panel for an initial hearing on how he would lead it.

TRADE

Farmers in the U.S. agricultural heartland that helped elect Trump are now pushing his administration to avoid a trade dispute with Mexico, fearing retaliatory tariffs that could hit over $3 billion in U.S. exports.

BANK REGULATION

Bank lobbyists who opened the Trump era with great expectations for sweeping regulatory reform are privately striking an increasingly dismal tone as hopes for a quick and thorough rewrite of Dodd-Frank legislation dim.
