Ivan Provorov scored 42 seconds into overtime, and the visiting Philadelphia Flyers overcame a three-goal, third-period deficit to extend the Buffalo Sabres' franchise-record winless streak to 18 games with a 4-3 victory on Monday night.

Off a two-on-one with Travis Konecny, Provorov slid the puck past Buffalo netminder Linus Ullmark to cap a remarkable comeback for the Flyers, who have won back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game winning streak from Feb. 24-28.

Philadelphia has also won five straight against the Sabres, who are 0-15-3 since winning at New Jersey on Feb. 23 -- the NHL's longest winless stretch since Pittsburgh went 18 in a row without a victory in 2003-04.

Kevin Hayes, Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier scored in the third period for the Flyers, with Couturier tying the game with 1:29 to go. Henri Jokiharju, Cody Eakin and Brandon Montour scored for the Sabres, who got 32 saves from Linus Ullmark. Brian Elliott stopped 29 shots for Philadelphia.

Sharks 4, Wild 3 (SO)

Erik Karlsson scored twice in regulation and tallied the game-winning goal in the eighth round of a shootout as San Jose rallied to defeat visiting Minnesota.

Radim Simek also scored in regulation for San Jose before Logan Couture and Kevin Labanc found the back of the net in the shootout. Martin Jones made 22 saves in the win.

Marcus Johansson, Nick Bonino and Kevin Fiala scored regulation goals for the Wild. Fiala and Mats Zuccarello were successful in the shootout. Minnesota goalie Cam Talbot made 36 saves.

Golden Knights 4, Kings 1

Reilly Smith, Tomas Nosek and Nicolas Hague scored second-period goals and Vegas rallied to defeat Los Angeles in Las Vegas.

Former Kings defenseman Alec Martinez scored a late goal for the Golden Knights, and Jonathan Marchessault had two assists. Goaltender Robin Lehner made 24 saves as West Division-leading Vegas improved to 8-2-0 over the past 10 games and 4-1-0 against the Kings this season.

Matt Roy scored one minute into the game for the Kings, but Los Angeles struggled to create any offense from there. Jonathan Quick had 20 saves for the Kings, who lost their third game in a row.

Avalanche 5, Ducks 2

Valeri Nichushkin had a goal and an assist, Mikko Rantanen, Gabriel Landeskog, Tyson Jost and J.T. Compher also scored, and Colorado beat Anaheim in Denver.

Cale Makar had three assists, Nathan MacKinnon had two and Philipp Grubauer stopped 13 shots for Colorado. Grubauer earned his 100th career win, improving to 100-59-21. The Avalanche improved to 9-0-2 in their past 11 games.

Danton Heinen and Troy Terry scored and Ryan Miller made 43 saves for the Ducks, who saw their modest two-game winning streak end.

Jets 5, Flames 1

Mark Scheifele scored twice and added an assist while Nikolaj Ehlers equaled his career high with three assists to lead visiting Winnipeg to a victory over Calgary.

Nate Thompson, Andrew Copp and Pierre-Luc Dubois also scored for the Jets, who received a 29-save performance from goaltender Connor Hellebuyck for their fourth win in five games.

Elias Lindholm scored for the Flames, while starting goalie Jacob Markstrom stopped 19 shots before being pulled after two periods. David Rittich made five saves in the final frame of Calgary's fifth loss in six outings.

Penguins 2, Islanders 1

Anthony Angello and Jared McCann scored as Pittsburgh swept a two-game set against visiting New York to pull even with the Islanders for second place in the East Division.

Pittsburgh, which won its fourth game in a row and fifth in its past six contests, ended up with a 6-2-0 edge in the season series. John Marino and Mike Matheson each had two assists for the Penguins, who took a 2-0 lead in the first period and held on.

Matt Martin scored for New York, which before had won three straight dropping the two-game set. Semyon Varlamov made 20 saves.

Oilers 3, Maple Leafs 2 (OT)

Darnell Nurse scored 17 seconds into overtime and visiting Edmonton defeated Toronto to gain a split of a two-game set.

After Mike Smith (29 saves) stopped Auston Matthews nine seconds into overtime, the Oilers came back the other way. Connor McDavid set up Nurse on a two-on-one and the defenseman shot from the slot for his 12th goal of the season. Josh Archibald and Kyle Turris also scored for the Oilers.
