Aug 25 (Reuters) - The World Trade Organisation is expected to deliver a mixed preliminary ruling next week in the U.S. case against EU launch aid for Airbus around the end of August, sources with knowledge of the case said on Tuesday.
"The WTO report will be handed over to EU and U.S. diplomats in Geneva on Friday, Sept. 4," a source told Reuters on condition on anonymity.
"The ruling will be handed over to officials from Brussels and Washington at around 1600 GMT, but will not be made public."
Sources said it was still unclear how the panel of WTO judges would rule.
"One thing is certain. It will be complicated and most likely mixed," a second source said.
"The devil will be in the detail. The U.S. can expect to win on a number of points, but lose on some other areas." (Reporting by Reuters bureaux, editing by Alison Williams)
