PORT OF SPAIN, April 18 (Reuters) - The White House said on Saturday it had seen instances of a change in rhetoric from the Cuban government and U.S. officials would be studying that as U.S. policy toward the island evolves.
Earlier this week U.S. President Barack Obama lifted restrictions on Cuban American family members' travel and remittance payments to Cuba.
Latin American leaders have pressed Obama to do more during meetings at the Summit of Americas in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday and Saturday.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters the Obama administration had taken note of comments from the Cuban government about mistakes it has made. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; editing by Mohammad Zargham)
