BEIJING, Oct 26 (Reuters) - China's economic growth is likely to accelerate this quarter, Vice Finance Minister Wang Jun said on Monday.
Speaking at an international tax conference, Wang said he also expected fiscal revenues to "clearly" grow and said the government was working hard to hit its 2009 budget targets.
Chinese gross domestic product growth accelerated to 8.9 percent last quarter, compared with a year earlier, from 7.9 percent in the April-June quarter. Most private economists, like Wang, expect an even faster pace of expansion this quarter. (Reporting by Simon Rabinovitch and Aileen Wang; Editing by Alan Wheatley)
