The U.S. dollar rebounded to 1.0606 against its Canadian counterpart on Tuesday, after hitting a 3-day low at 1.0565 earlier in the day.
The earlier decline came after the pair rose on Monday to a 6-week high, which halted at 1.0722.
USD/CAD was likely to find resistance at Monday's high, and short term support around 1.0556, Thursday's low.
Later Tuesday, the National Association of Realtors was set to release data on its latest index of Pending Home Sales, a key indicator of U.S. housing activity that was expected to rise 1% after its shocking 16% decline last week.
