BRUSSELS, Oct 4 (Reuters) - China seems ready to discuss how to avoid "erratic" exchange rate variations, a French presidential palace source said on Monday.
"The Chinese want us to also think about how to avoid erratic exchange rate variations," the source said.
It was rare to see a Chinese Prime Minister say in front of 42 other leaders that exchange rate issue had to be dealt with, the source from President Nicolas Sarkozy's office said.
"It seems that on all the major subjects, he is ready for a discussion," he said.
