ISTANBUL, April 8 (Reuters) - Turkey's Treasury said on Wednesday it posted a cash deficit of 4.657 billion lira ($2.93 billion) in March, almost half the deficit announced the month before, and down from a deficit of 5.394 billion lira in 2008.
The treasury added it had a cash primary deficit of 235.7 million lira in March.
In February 2009, the cash deficit was 11.992 billion lira, and the cash primary deficit was 3.455 billion lira.
The cash budget measures the money the Treasury actually receives and pays out in the month.
Cash revenues stood at 15.88 billion lira and cash expenditure was 20.54 billion lira.
