WASHINGTON, Jan 21 (Reuters) - The United States and China will have more interactions shortly about the cyberattacks that led Google to consider pulling out of the country, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Kurt Campbell said on Thursday.
"We have had a number of interactions with Chinese authorities about the Google matter," Campbell, assistant secretary for east Asia and Pacific affairs, told reporters after a hearing on Capitol Hill. "We are going to have more of those in the coming days."
He said the practices raised "serious concerns" and while China had denied the allegations, the United States was still looking to China for an explanation going forward. (reporting by Susan Cornwell)
